On October 22, 2020, Yayasan Taman Baca Inovator inaugurated three reading gardens in East Nusa Tenggara, Southwest Sumba Regency, West Manggarai Regency, and Kupang City. TBI Wilhelm C. Rontgen is located at Petrus Karels street, Alak district, Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara Province. This TBI uses the name of a physicist from Germany. The inauguration of TBI Wilhelm C. Rontgen was attended by the principal of SD Tenau, the village chief, teachers, and students. Taman Baca Inovator collaborated with Yayasan Happy Hearts Indonesia.

The SD Tenau library construction began in June 2020; previously, the SD Tenau library was located in the teacher’s room, the number of SD Tenau students is 235, this school was founded in 2012. The principal was very happy with the existence of TBI Wilhelm C. Rontgen in the school vicinity because it will help the students in the reading process. The teachers will no longer have difficulty during the teaching and learning process because all the reading books provided are very varied.

The citizen around SD Tenau is also very supportive of the existence of TBI Wilhelm C. Rontgen because their children will no longer have trouble getting reading books. The books provided are allowed to be borrowed according to the specified day and must be returned. Thus, the children’s interest in reading is growing, and their knowledge insight also increases. The students who were initially lazy to read and rarely read began to become active because the books available at TBI Wilhelm C. Rontgen are varied and have pictures on them, making the students very interested in reading. The parents hope that with the existence of TBI Wilhelm C. Rontgen, their children can turn into successful children. Reading is the key to successβ€”most of the people who live in Alak work as farmers, fishers, and planters.

Kupang is a municipality and the capital of East Nusa Tenggara province. Many interesting places are in the city of Kupang. One of them is the monkey cave in the Alak district. Besides from monkey cave, there are several beaches. The distance between the airport and SD Tenau is approximately 35 minutes. With TBI Wilhelm C. Rontgen in Alak District, we hope that in the future, students can become achievers, and their interest in reading continues to increase.
