My passion is to make a strong positive impact to Indonesia. I think Indonesia is a great country but we have a lot of homework to better our nation. Education is key and there are too many people here have little access to quality education, let alone opportunities. We believe that books are the least that many Indonesians should have access to in order to improve their chance in life. Taman Baca Inovator is our first initiative and certainly will not be the last.
This vision can only be achieved with the strong support from my parents, most especially my mother. Her message since I was a little girl is to bring candle to the darkness. Hopefully TBI will allow us to do just that.

Everyone has a dream and my dream for a long time has been to contribute to many people. Therefore, after graduating from college I looked for work in the social and research fields, one of which was at Taman Baca Inovator (TBI) Foundation. I am no stranger to data and research that concludes how low the literacy rate of Indonesians has impacted various fields but I only realized the urgency of this problem after working at TBI. However, apart from the urgency, I also see hope, especially when I do the direct monitoring for TBI. Children who come to the TBI libraries not only have multiple potentials but also high enthusiasm and curiosity that encourages them to learn through books and TBI programs. The children gave me the enthusiasm to continue learning and get better every day in order to optimize TBI's mission to provide access to quality reading books for children in need.

My goal is to be the reason other people can develop. Since childhood, I have always wanted to make an impact on the people around me. My focus is to educate and make other people smarter. To achieve my goal, I chose to major in education, especially early childhood teacher program. At least I can make a good impact on my students at the school where I teach. However, Taman Baca Inovator Foundation gave me wider opportunities to make a bigger impact on all the children around Indonesia. I believe that every child is smart and every child has the ability to develop themselves. It depends on "are these children given a chance?" So, Taman Baca Inovator gave them that opportunity. Taman Baca Inovator is a place for every child with various backgrounds to develop themselves. We provide them with a lot of good books, the best teachers, and a lot of happiness. Not only reading, but Taman Baca Inovator also has a lot of activities for the children, such as experiments, art and craft, discussion, even playing. Taman Baca Inovator gives children the opportunity to learn while having fun and laughing. Because we believe that learning is not always about paper and pencil, but through an amazing experience. The impact is not just for the children, but also for me. Taman Baca Inovator is the right place to develop myself. I can meet many people, visit various places, and learn new things. It changes my mind and my way of thinking that there are many great people who believe that Indonesian children are great children.
I hope that Taman Baca Inovator can continue to grow and be successful so that there will be more Indonesian children that are given opportunities to get an education.

The desire to serve, educating, and reaching the children in remote areas of Sumba is my reason for joining Yayasan Taman Baca Innovator. Moreover, it improves Sumbanese children's literacy in remote areas through reading, writing, and counting activities. A memorable experience while working is such a challenge. When one of the 5th-grade kid is not fluent yet in reading, I guided the child and actively explained word by word, and the child began to read fluently. On top of that, the children in Sumba's remote areas do not know many things due to the lack of facilities. The existence of the Yayasan Taman Baca Inovator is very benevolent for Sumbanese children. The bookstores in Sumba are very limited, and
books are also sold at high prices; it becomes a stumbling block for those who want to buy books. I hope in the future, with the existence of the facilities provided by Yayasan Taman
Baca Inovator, the Sumbanese children will turn into children who likes to read, and the activities in the reading garden increases their reading interest so there will be changes and
advancement in literacy quality of the Sumbanese children.

I'm proud right now, to join the Taman Baca Inovator Foundation. The reason I joined was to realize my desire to devote myself, helping the children in the North Tapanuli in the field of Education.
Taman Baca Inovator Foundation itself is a literacy that works in the field of education, especially reading, so its presence is really needed to bring changes and an impact.
Facilities to support children's interest in reading are equipped with well-packaged and attractive books that make me easier to blend in as a form of my contribution, sincerity for the children, and to help them reach the gates of their dream.
As a form of self-devotion and contribution, one of my duties is to accompany the village children in North Tapanuli that I usually call "Batuhitba" (Read, write, count, and speak), considering the children interest in reading, the children's writing is still far below because the lack of education access and facility provided so far. Besides that, I sometimes make time to play, sing, and dance together.

Being a part of the Taman Baca Inovator Foundation is an honor for me. Taman Baca Inovator has given me the space to contribute to the development of the nation's children in the field of education, especially for children in the Sumba area, East Nusa Tenggara. Joining the Taman Baca Inovator Foundation was also my first step in the career world after completing my last education. The Taman Baca Inovator's support in the field of Literacy is very helpful for children in the Sumba area, East Nusa Tenggara. Through very diverse books delivered to the area, it is very easy for children to read books without having to pay expensive fees. Indeed, it is quite difficult to obtain books in Sumba. In addition to supporting literacy, the Taman Baca Inovator Foundation also develops students' abilities in creativity, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration – abbreviated as 4C. One of the 4C programs that have been implemented in each TBI is an archery experiment with the concept of a spring force. This is very supportive of children's creativity to create something. I hope that the existence of Taman Baca Inovator can be put to good use by students who visit them to achieve a better future.

The non-profit sector is one sector that has a big impact on several regions in Indonesia because this sector does not expect profit, unfortunately, the non-profit sector is often underestimated just because of branding or unattractive content.
Joining Taman Baca Inovator foundation gave me a new experience, where I can meet and interact with extraordinary people who can motivate and inspire me to become a better human being. Together with the Taman Baca inovator Foundation, I hope the design/content that i created can help improve children's literacy in Indonesia.
graphic design is needed to build better branding and appropriate content so it is hoped that more people will move to share and help each other.

Being part of the Taman Baca Inovator (TBI) Foundation has been something I am very proud of. Apart from being the start of my career, this is also the start of my journey in the world of literacy. I understand that I still have a lot of knowledge to develop in both accounting and literacy, but I still have a strong determination to learn more about both. I am very interested in the activities carried out at the TBI library because we are given the opportunity to directly interact with the children at the TBI libraries with different characters, helping me know more about many ways to make children remain enthusiastic to study. I am Alfi. Even though my specialty is in accounting, I am very enthusiastic to see that the children in the TBI libraries have a high enthusiasm for progress. When I was invited to distribute groceries to one of the villages, we also had the chance to distribute several books to the children and I could see that there were still many children who had a high enthusiasm for learning but because of the limited availability of books or their family economic constraints, they couldn't fulfill their desire to move forward. I realize that we are experiencing a lack of education today. Many families are actually capable to provide their children with education but due to gadget misuse, they cannot develop learning knowledge that is appropriate for their current age. I hope that there are many more people who are aware of the importance of literacy, especially in Indonesia, because whatever we have today is meaningless if our hearts are not moved to advance the generations of our own country. Whatever the end result may be, we should have the good intention to help advance our own country. Surely, all of that will also have a good impact on the nation's children.
