Bandung, what are you thinking about the first time you heard the name of the city? Some interesting places surely cross your mind. However, when I mention a certain regency named Bandung Barat, what comes to your mind? Different with the city of Bandung, Bandung Barat regency is a little bit left behind compared with its neighboring city in the terms of both infrastructure and education. That is why we are from Taman Baca Inovator Foundation decided to establish a Taman Baca or children library in Bandung Barat Regency. Also until now, there have been three Taman Baca in Bandung Barat Regency. The first one is Taman Baca Inovator Marie Curie, the second one is Taman Baca Inovator Galileo Galilei, and the newest one is Taman Baca Inovator Blaise Pascal. All of those three TBIs in Bandung run relatively well until now.
In order to keep the running of the Taman Baca in Bandung Barat Regency, we do not move by ourselves, but we are helped by some elements there. Among others are the two people who have dedicated their best efforts for education by the name of Mr. Budi and Mr. Yadi. Both of them are teachers in their respective schools. Besides becoming a teacher, they also play a significant role in the running of the TBIs in Bandung regency because they also teach various kinds of knowledge in all three TBIs there. The subjects, among others, are English and Pencak Silat, plus, they also guide the children in the TBI to study. Both of this amazing men willingly spend their spare time to go back and forth from their respective houses to all three TBIs in Bandung Barat regency despite the distance between one TBI and the others is relatively far. Nevertheless, it does not lessen both Mr. Budi and Mr. Yadi’s spirit to share their knowledge and smiles for the children in the TBI.
The spirit of both kindhearted men is quite amazing, their care for the world of education in Bandung Barat regency flares like an eternal flame. And without forsaking the work of our staff in all those three TBIs in Bandung Barat regency, both of these men are the pioneers of the TBIs there. They teach, they knock the doors on the villagers’ houses to invite the children coming to the TBI to read and they also introduce the TBI to the village officials so the village government can participate in the running of the TBI in their village in the future as well. Hopefully, all of their dedication can be useful for their birth land. Keep the spirit Mr. Budi and Mr. Yadi! Greetings, Inovator!
