Together with Taman Baca Inovator, Wardah Beauty has been supporting Indonesia’s education for two years through the establishment of two public libraries and training provision in several areas such as Palembang, Kalimantan, and Maluku. Donations from Wardah Beauty have opened opportunities for many educators to learn about literacy and how it can change the lives of their students and ultimately change their respective villages.

Wardah Beauty has honored and recognized Taman Baca Inovator as one of the inspirations for educational improvement. On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, I represented Taman Baca Inovator to receive the award given by Ibu Yohana Susana Yembise, the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Protection of Indonesian Children. In the award reception, I stood with 10 Inspirational women including Ibu Najelaa Shihab (Founder of Sekolah Cikal), Ibu Linda Amalia Sari (Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia in the United Indonesia Cabinet II), Ibu Valencia (Founder of Rumah

Harapan Indonesia) , The Indonesian Cancer Foundation and many others.

I have learned a lot of things from the movements that these great women created. Never give up on your dreams and hopes and be more selfless. Certainly, these women have encountered many obstacles, but those issues can be overcome one by one through their relentless efforts. Certainly, Indonesian education will improve thanks to these inspiring women. Viva Inovator! (Yessi Chandra)
